Morning prayers 25th May 2020

We thank you God for the morning Light
And we offer our praise to you
Open our hearts and our minds
To your Spirit
And give us your presence
In our life today

Song “With all I am”

Prayer for Gods help

Loving God
We often get it wrong
Send your Spirit
To work in us
Realign us
So that we may know
Your Spirit in our lives
Your joy, your peace, your shalom

The Lord’s Prayer in your own language

Reading Acts 9v5-9
“Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus. For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.
Prayers
We pray for people and situations we are concerned about including our government, the lockdown easing in schools, key workers, the ongoing lack of PPE in hospitals, care homes and everywhere, and protection for BME people, care for those who are alone and those suffering with depression and ensuring food is reaching the vulnerable.

Ending with…May we not fail them Amen

Song “Christ has no body”

Closing Responses

This is the day that God has made
We will rejoice and be glad in it
We will not offer to God
Offerings that cost us nothing
Go in Peace
To love and serve the Lord
Amen
