Against injustice

Reading Psalm 2
1 Why do the nations conspire
and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break their chains
and throw off their shackles.”
4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them.
5 He rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
6 “I have installed my king
on Zion, my holy mountain.”
Our prayers
We pray tonight for those in lockdown, for children and teaching staff, for doctors and health workers, for people who are isolated and exhausted, for wise decisions by government, for the people of Bolivia, Belarus, Syria, Yemen, Armenia, Thailand, Nigeria and Hong Kong, for the unrest in the US and the chaos in the UK and for those countries we never hear about, and those we know who need our help and prayers and who we carry in our hearts tonight.
Send you Spirit to heal bodies, minds and spirits and help people to turn away from what harms them. Let your angels be beside them and us at this time and protect us. In Jesus Name we pray.

In the depth of silence
No words are needed

To the movement of the Spirit

Oramos esta noche por los que están encerrados, por los niños y el personal docente, por los médicos y trabajadores de la salud, por las personas que están aisladas y exhaustas, por las sabias decisiones del gobierno, por el pueblo de Bolivia, Bielorrusia, Siria, Yemen, Armenia, Tailandia, Nigeria y Hong Kong, por los disturbios en los EE. Y el caos en el Reino Unido y por aquellos países de los que nunca escuchamos, y aquellos que conocemos que necesitan nuestra ayuda y oraciones y a quienes llevamos en nuestros corazones esta noche.
Envía tu Espíritu para sanar cuerpos, mentes y espíritus y ayudar a las personas a alejarse de lo que les daña. Deja que tus ángeles estén junto a ellos y a nosotros en este momento y protégenos. En el Nombre de Jesús oramos.
