Reflection
Bread is the stuff of Life. In the Hunger Games bread is very important as a theme that runs through the trilogy.
Each District had its own bread. The Capitols bread was refined and made from white flour like much bread now but during the I and II World Wars the bread here was made from wholegrain and was darker and healthier.
Panem is Latin for bread. It is used in the famous Roman political phrase panem et circenses, or "bread and circuses." The people of the Capitol were involved in a game of "bread and circuses" hence the name the Hunger Games. Peeta is a baker like his father and it sounds like pita, a type of bread.
Barbara Glasson wrote an interesting book called “I am somewhere else”. Much of the book is about this passage and the church as a place that gives bread to the hungry, literally.
Bread making is done throughout the world as it’s a staple food.
Bethlehem of course means the house of bread. It is from the house of bread we get spiritual bread for the world. I am deeply shocked that our society is so divided that we have rich people with no financial worries with expensive cars and lifestyles, nestling near to people who have no money and depend on food banks and soup kitchens often at churches. I have never seen such division in my society in my lifetime.
When Jesus says “I am the bread of life” he using another of his “I am” statements. I am the door, I am the Good Shepherd, I am the Resurrection and the Life”. Usually there is a practical illustration of the statement. Here the practical illustration is the feeding of the 5,000. You cant have spiritual statements that don’t have practical outcomes otherwise your faith, your religion is like a shell, empty, meaningless.
When we break Bread we break the One loaf and we then reassemble it as we eat together, and so we collectively become Christs again to feed the world around us. Amen

We pray for people and situations we are concerned about including the need for world leaders to act on climate change, desperate people crossing the sea in dinghies, continuing deaths from Covid 19, the ongoing unrest in Belarus, Hong Kong and Syria, the rise of fascism, the government, the Rohinga Muslims, Muslims being persecuted in China and ensuring that food is reaching the vulnerable and global warming.

Roti adalah bahan Kehidupan. Dalam The Hunger Games roti sangat penting sebagai tema yang berjalan melalui trilogi.
Setiap Distrik memiliki rotinya sendiri. Roti Capitols disempurnakan dan dibuat dari tepung putih seperti kebanyakan roti sekarang, tetapi selama Perang Dunia I dan II roti di sini dibuat dari gandum utuh dan lebih gelap dan lebih sehat.
Panem adalah bahasa Latin untuk roti. Ini digunakan dalam frasa politik Romawi yang terkenal panem et circenses, atau "roti dan sirkus." Saya belum pernah melihat perpecahan seperti itu dalam masyarakat saya seumur hidup saya.
Ketika Yesus berkata “Akulah roti hidup” dia menggunakan pernyataan “Aku adalah” yang lain. Akulah pintu, Akulah Gembala yang Baik, Akulah Kebangkitan dan Hidup”. Biasanya ada ilustrasi praktis dari pernyataan tersebut. Di sini ilustrasi praktisnya adalah memberi makan 5.000 orang. Anda tidak dapat memiliki pernyataan spiritual yang tidak memiliki hasil praktis jika tidak, iman Anda, agama Anda seperti cangkang, kosong, tidak berarti.
Ketika kita memecahkan Roti, kita memecahkan roti yang Satu dan kemudian kita menyusunnya kembali saat kita makan bersama, sehingga kita secara kolektif menjadi Kristus lagi untuk memberi makan dunia di sekitar kita. Amin

Réflexion
Le pain est l'étoffe de la vie. Dans les Hunger Games, le pain est un thème très important qui traverse la trilogie.
Chaque District avait son pain. Le pain Capitols était raffiné et fabriqué à partir de farine blanche comme beaucoup de pain maintenant, mais pendant les guerres mondiales I et II, le pain ici était fabriqué à partir de grains entiers et était plus foncé et plus sain.
Panem signifie pain en latin. Il est utilisé dans la célèbre expression politique romaine panem et circenses, ou « du pain et des cirques ». Les habitants du Capitole étaient impliqués dans un jeu de « du pain et du cirque » d'où le nom de Hunger Games. Peeta est boulanger comme son père et cela ressemble à de la pita, un type de pain.
Barbara Glasson a écrit un livre intéressant intitulé « Je suis ailleurs ». Une grande partie du livre parle de ce passage et de l'église en tant que lieu qui donne du pain aux affamés, littéralement.
La fabrication du pain se fait dans le monde entier car c'est un aliment de base.
Bethléem signifie bien sûr la maison du pain. C'est de la maison du pain que nous obtenons du pain spirituel pour le monde. Je suis profondément choqué que notre société soit si divisée que nous ayons des gens riches sans soucis financiers avec des voitures et des modes de vie coûteux, nichés près de gens qui n'ont pas d'argent et dépendent des banques alimentaires et des soupes populaires souvent dans les églises. Je n'ai jamais vu une telle division dans ma société de mon vivant.
Quand Jésus dit « Je suis le pain de vie », il utilise une autre de ses déclarations « Je suis ». Je suis la porte, je suis le Bon Pasteur, je suis la Résurrection et la Vie ». Habituellement, il y a une illustration pratique de la déclaration. Ici, l'illustration pratique est l'alimentation des 5 000. Vous ne pouvez pas avoir de déclarations spirituelles qui n'ont pas de résultats pratiques, sinon votre foi, votre religion est comme une coquille, vide, sans signification.
Lorsque nous rompons le pain, nous rompons le pain unique et nous le rassemblons ensuite pendant que nous mangeons ensemble, et ainsi nous redevenons collectivement des Christs pour nourrir le monde qui nous entoure. Amen
