Come, Jesus be out guest,
stay with us for the day is beginning/ending
with friend, with stranger,
with neighbour, and the well known ones, be among us
For the doors of our house we open
And the doors of our hearts we leave ajar.
Song “My Lord what a morning”
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Psalm 55
My companion attacks his friends;
he violates his covenant.
21 His talk is smooth as butter,
yet war is in his heart;
his words are more soothing than oil,
yet they are drawn swords.
We pray for all those we know who need our help and prayers who we carry in our hearts today. For those who can’t afford fuel, food or housing, for those on strike, those suffering in the floods, heatwaves and fires, for the Ukraine and Russia, for Palestine and Gaza, Myanmar, Hong Kong, India, Myanmar, the Rohingyas, the Uyghurs, Belarus, Iran, US, Afghanistan, for UK, for our own country, doctors and nurses, carers, teachers, those confronting injustice, and pressing issues of climate change, for the millions of refugees, our own families, friends and ourselves…Spirit of the Living God present with us now enter our bodies, minds and spirits and heal us of all that harms us. Let your angels be beside us at this time. Amen

This is the day that God has made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
I will not offer to God
Offerings that cost me nothing
I will go in Peace
To love and serve the Lord
Amen
