We humbly thank you for this day
Help us not to waste it
But offer our praise to you

Psalm 57
1-3 Be good to me, God—and now!
I’ve run to you for dear life.
I’m hiding out under your wings
until the hurricane blows over.
I call out to High God,
the God who holds me together.
Orders are sent from heaven and save me,
those who kick me around are humiliated.
God delivers generous love,
he makes good on his word.
We pray for all those we know who need our help and prayers who we carry in our hearts today. For Brazil, Ukraine and Russia, for Afghans, for Syria, Yemen, Gaza, for the US, for our flooding world and those dealing with the fires, for politicians to act on climate change, for all with Covid today and their families, doctors and nurses, carers, teachers, those confronting injustice, for the many refugees, for our own country, our families and friends and ourselves. Spirit of the Living God be present with us. Let your angels be beside us at this time. In Jesus Name we pray.
