I thank you God for the day you have gifted me
I offer my praise and thanks to you
Open my heart and my mind
To your Spirit
And give me your presence
In my life today
Song “There is a hope”
Loving God
I often get it wrong
Send your Spirit
To work in me
To realign me
So that I may know
Your joy, your peace, your shalom
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Psalm 94
How long, Lord, shall the wicked—
How long shall the wicked triumph?
4 They pour out words, they speak arrogantly;
All who do injustice boast.
5 They crush Your people, Lord,
And afflict Your inheritance.
6 They kill the widow and the stranger
And murder the orphans.
7 They have said, “The Lord does not see,
Nor does the God of Jacob perceive.”
We pray for people and situations we are concerned about; for sustainable action on climate change, for the Ukraine, Russia, Yemen, Syria, Palestine, Myanmar, the Rohingyas, the Uighurs, for Hong Kong, for China, Belarus, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iran, Afghanistan, for our own country, for those with Covid, for doctors and nurses, carers, for those on strike, for refugees and the homeless and those hungry, and tormented.
Spirit of the Living God present with us now enter our bodies, minds and spirits and heal us of all that harms us. Let your angels be beside us at this time. In Jesus Name we pray.
We pray for all those we know who need our help and prayers ….and the many others we carry in our hearts.
Song “You don’t have to worry”
God to enfold me
God to surround me
God in my sleeping
God in my waking
God in my watching
God in my hoping
God in my life
God in my soul
God in my heart
