Confession
For the beauty of the Earth desecrated by war
O living God, to you we plead
For the urgency of this hour ignored by apathy or procrastination
wasted by ineffective decisions denied by economic interests
Christ, our God and Saviour, forgive us for world leaders selfish short-term behaviour.
For those fractured by forced migration crushed by bereavement
lost to bombs and starvation,
Christ, our God, bringer of justice forgive us for this crisis. Amen

Let the heavens be glad,
and let the earth rejoice;
let the sea roar, and all that fills it;
let the field exult, and everything in it. Then shall all the trees of the forest
sing for joy before the Lord;
for he is coming,
for he is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with his truth.
The earth roars with grief because of the pain of war
The people despair with extinction on a daily basis.
No song of joy rings out from the bombed lands
How long O God,
We plead to you for leaders to act and move with urgency towards peace. Amen
We pray for Israelis and Palestinians, for Ukrainians and Russians, For Syria, for Ethiopia, for Kosova and Serbia and all places where there is war. We pray for peace makers and humanitarian corridors, for the children and the terrified and for people of good will to work together to change the world. …Spirit of the Living God present with us now enter our bodies, minds and spirits and heal us of all that harms us. Let your angels be beside us at this time. Amen
We will live justly
We will love kindly
We will walk with God. Amen
