In peace and in confusion
Jesus Christ is the Light of Life
He is the hope for the world
Song “In resurrexit tua”
Tell everyone who is anxious
Be strong and don’t be afraid
Jesus is the source of Life
He brings light to the world
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Reading Deuteronomy 32
You grew fat, bloated, and gorged!
He abandoned God who made him,
and scoffed at the Rock of his salvation.
16 They made him jealous with strange gods,
with abhorrent things they provoked him.
17 They sacrificed to demons, not God,
to deities they had never known,
to new ones recently arrived,
whom your ancestors had not feared.
18 You were unmindful of the Rock that bore you;[g]
you forgot the God who gave you birth.
Prayers for people and situations we are concerned about; for those living with war and conflict, Ukraine, Russia, Yemen, Palestine, Myanmar, Rohingyas, Uighurs, Hong Kong, Belarus, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Syria, Iran, for our own country, for those facing climate change disasters, for those with Covid, for doctors and nurses, carers, teachers, for those confronting injustice, for refugees and the homeless, our families and friends and ourselves. May God’s hand be upon us, your angels protect us and the Holy Spirit work in and around us. Amen
A Song “When I survey”
When we are despairing and see no way ahead
Roll back the stone!
When we are frightened and fear for our life
Roll back the stone!
When we are hungry, thirsty and need shelter
Roll back the stone!
When we need a miracle to change our lives
Roll back the stone!
