From light comes life.
Deep in the earth, a seed begins to grow.
In our imagination, an idea takes root.

We light a candle for hope, sending
prayers high into the inky heavens and
dreams deep into our human soul.

Psalm 26
“In repentance and rest you will be saved,
In quietness and trust is your strength.”
But you were not willing,
16 And you said, “No, for we will flee on horses!”
Therefore you shall flee!
“And we will ride on swift horses!”
Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift.
17 One thousand will flee at the threat of one man;
You will flee at the threat of five,
Until you are left like a signal post on a mountain top,
And like a flag on a hill.
We pray for peace, in Gaza, Ukraine, throughout the world, where little children cannot sleep because of the sound of bombs falling, where people are imprisoned for protesting about the abuse of human rights, where temperatures soar because of climate change and forests burn, for the vulnerable in this time and those sick and dying, for the homeless in their own country and those far from home, for asylum seekers and refugees the world over, and finally for our children and grandchildren who we must give a better future. In Jesus name we pray, Amen
In the depth of silence
No words are needed
We are just called to listen
And in the midst of confusion
To hear your voice. Amen.

Wir beten für Frieden, in Gaza, der Ukraine, auf der ganzen Welt, wo kleine Kinder wegen des Lärms der fallenden Bomben nicht schlafen können, wo Menschen eingesperrt sind, weil sie gegen Menschenrechtsverletzungen protestieren, wo die Temperaturen aufgrund des Klimawandels in die Höhe schnellen und Wälder brennen , für die Verletzlichen dieser Zeit und die Kranken und Sterbenden, für die Obdachlosen im eigenen Land und diejenigen fern der Heimat, für Asylsuchende und Flüchtlinge auf der ganzen Welt und schließlich für unsere Kinder und Enkel, denen wir eine bessere Zukunft ermöglichen müssen.
