For the light of the sun on my face
I humbly thank you
And offer my praise to you
Open my heart and my mind
Give me your presence
In the centre of my being today
Song “We labour unto glory” https://youtu.be/cRuPZCXShg4?feature=shared
Loving God move us to comfort those who are caught in war.
Those held captive
Those facing hatred and intolerance
For the over 100 million fleeing for their lives
For strangers in our lands
For those in refugee camps
For those on dangerous journeys for safety
For their families
Melt our hard hearts to create welcome and change
Amen
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Acts 9v 5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. 6 “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” 7 The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. 8 Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus. 9 For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.
We pray for all those we carry in our hearts.
We pray for peace in Gaza and Ukraine and all countries at war, for work to halt climate change, for the 100 million people who are refugees or asylum seekers, for the homeless, the hungry, the distressed. Spirit of the Living God be beside us at this time. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen
This is the day that God has made
I will rejoice and be glad in it
I will not offer to God
Offerings that cost me nothing
I will go in Peace
To love and serve the Lord. Amen
