Reflection on John 20v1-18
The scene in John's gospel is set when it was still dark, just before dawn. John focuses on Mary. Early in the morning would mean between 3 and 6 am and it would still be dark. Mary having gone to the tomb to anoint the body, finds the body gone and runs to Peter to tell him “they have taken the body and we don't know where they have buried him”.
Peter, John and Mary, they go back to the tomb. John ran on ahead. The tomb was built into the ground with a low door so that they had to bend down, and then look down into it. Peter sees lying there, strips of linen, shroud-like sheets, the linen grave-cloths. The burial cloth - is a small towel used to wipe the face, and it was not lying with the sheets but was folded up beside the linen. (we note the details)
John saw it all and believed.
The 3 facts
1. Jesus lived
We know that Jesus lived because Josephus the Roman historian writes about him in his histories, Antiquities of the Jews, written around 93–94 AD. He writes about 'Jesus' in Book 20, Chapter 9: and describes him as "Jesus, who was called Christ"
2. Jesus died
We know that Jesus died and was crucified because the Roman historian Tacitus, in his Annals (written ca. AD 116), book 15, chapter 44. refers to 'Christus' and his execution by Pontius Pilate.
3. Nobody has ever found his body. Despite so many people knowing what happened, the Roman guards, the disciples, the Jewish leaders, his followers nobody ever found a body or even remains like bones or a grave. Bodies don’t just disappear.
What did Jesus say about his own death
In one of the parables Jesus tells, that the son is taken, thrown out and then killed. One explanation of the parable is that Israel is the vineyard, Israel's religious leaders are the farmers, and the servants are the prophets and the son is Jesus. Mark 12:1-12, Jesus is implying that the "son" of the vineyard owner i.e., himself will be murdered.
Everyone was surprised that he was resurrected! Death is final?! The women, the disciples and the Emmaus travellers, there is no hint that they understood what he was talking about, that resurrection was on the cards, anticipated.
The women did not go to the tomb expecting resurrection, because they took spices to anoint his decaying body.
The stone in front of the tomb was very heavy and in Mark 16:3 the women had debated how they would get the heavy stone moved,
In Luke the angels ask them to recall the promise Jesus made to them in Galilee.
At first the disciples regard the women as hysterical, telling an idle tale. Leros, a delirious story told by the very sick.
Jesus says "Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms."
Second, the Messiah was raised from the dead.
Third his message will be preached throughout the world. The message is for all nations, and the preaching will start in Jerusalem.
Jesus came to offer hope, existential hope. The disciples sense of privilege at being involved in God's plan did not waver even years later, when persecution and rejection of their message became strong. The message is both proclaimed and lived out in a world going in the wrong direction. Then and now.
Whether we have relationship troubles, we are sick, we have financial troubles, we are homeless or stateless, Jesus is the person to turn to. He’s been there and done it and got the t shirt. Don’t trust me, trust the one who was raised from the dead, and trust his God. Jesus
The women were met with an empty tomb. So are we!

تأمل در یوحنا 20 v1-18
صحنه در انجیل یوحنا زمانی اتفاق می‌افتد که هوا هنوز تاریک بود، درست قبل از طلوع. جان روی مریم تمرکز می کند. صبح زود بین ساعت 3 تا 6 صبح است و هوا همچنان تاریک است. مریم که برای مسح جسد به مقبره رفته بود، جسد را از بین رفته می بیند و نزد پطرس می دود تا به او بگوید "جسد را برده اند و نمی دانیم او را کجا دفن کرده اند".
پطرس، یوحنا و مریم به آرامگاه برمی گردند. جان جلوتر دوید. مقبره با دری کم روی زمین تعبیه شده بود به طوری که باید خم می شدند و سپس از پایین به داخل آن نگاه می کردند. پیتر دراز کشیده، نوارهای کتانی، ملحفه‌های کفن مانند، پارچه‌های کتانی قبر را می‌بیند. پارچه تدفین - حوله کوچکی است که برای پاک کردن صورت استفاده می‌شود و با ملحفه‌ها قرار نمی‌گرفته بلکه در کنار کتانی تا شده است. (جزئیات را یادداشت می کنیم)
جان همه را دید و باور کرد.
3 واقعیت
1. عیسی زندگی کرد
ما می دانیم که عیسی زندگی می کرد زیرا یوسفوس، مورخ رومی، در تاریخ های خود، باستانی یهودیان، که در حدود 93-94 پس از میلاد نوشته شده است، درباره او می نویسد. او در کتاب 20، فصل 9 در مورد "عیسی" می نویسد: و او را به عنوان "عیسی که مسیح نامیده می شد" توصیف می کند.
2. عیسی درگذشت

در یکی از مثل ها عیسی می گوید که پسر را می برند، بیرون می اندازند و سپس می کشند. یکی از توضیح این مَثَل این است که اسرائیل تاکستان است، رهبران دینی اسرائیل کشاورزان، و بندگان پیامبران و پسر عیسی هستند. مرقس 12: 1-12، عیسی اشاره می کند که "پسر" صاحب تاکستان، یعنی خود او کشته خواهد شد.
همه تعجب کردند که او زنده شد! مرگ قطعی است؟! زنان، شاگردان و مسافران امائوس، هیچ اشاره ای به این ندارند که آنها متوجه شده اند که او در مورد چه صحبت می کند، که رستاخیز در کارت ها پیش بینی شده است.
زنان به انتظار رستاخیز به مقبره نرفتند، زیرا ادویه جات می گرفتند تا بدن در حال پوسیدگی او را مسح کنند.
سنگ جلوی قبر بسیار سنگین بود و در مرقس 16: 3 زنان بحث کرده بودند که چگونه سنگ سنگین را جابجا کنند.
در لوقا، فرشتگان از آنها می خواهند که قولی را که عیسی در جلیل به آنها داده بود، به خاطر بیاورند.
در ابتدا شاگردان زنان را هیستریک می دانند و داستانی بیهوده تعریف می کنند. لروس، داستانی هذیانی که توسط افراد بسیار بیمار روایت می شود.
عیسی می گوید: «هر آنچه در شریعت موسی، انبیا و مزامیر درباره من نوشته شده است، باید تحقق یابد.»
اول، مسیح باید رنج می برد. عیسی این را پیش بینی کرده بود و در پیشگویی های عهد عتیق آمده بود.
دوم، مسیح از مردگان برخاست.
سوم پیام او در سراسر جهان موعظه خواهد شد. پیام برای همه ملل است و موعظه از اورشلیم آغاز خواهد شد.
عیسی آمد تا امید وجودی را ارائه دهد. حتي سال‌ها بعد كه آزار و اذيت و رد پيامشان قوي شد، شاگردان احساس امتياز در مشاركت در طرح خدا داشتند. این پیام هم در دنیایی که در مسیر اشتباهی پیش می رود اعلام می شود و هم زندگی می کند. آن زمان و اکنون.
چه مشکلاتی در رابطه داشته باشیم، چه بیمار باشیم، چه مشکلات مالی داشته باشیم، چه بی خانمان باشیم و چه بی تابعیت، عیسی کسی است که باید به او مراجعه کنیم. او آنجا بود و این کار را انجام داد و تی شرت را گرفت. به من اعتماد نکن، به کسی که از مردگان زنده شده اعتماد کن و به خدایش اعتماد کن. عیسی مسیح
زنان با قبر خالی روبرو شدند. ما هم همینطور!

约翰福音20章1-18节反思
约翰福音的场景设定在黎明前，天色尚暗。约翰的焦点是玛利亚。清晨意味着凌晨3点到6点之间，天色还很黑。马利亚去坟墓为耶稣的遗体涂油，发现遗体不见了，便跑去告诉彼得：“他们把遗体取走了，我们不知道埋葬在哪里了。”
彼得、约翰和马利亚回到坟墓。约翰跑在前面。坟墓建在地上，门很矮，他们必须弯腰才能看到里面。彼得看到那里放着几条细麻布、裹尸布状的床单和亚麻裹尸布。裹尸布是一条用来擦脸的小毛巾，它没有和床单放在一起，而是叠放在细麻布旁边。（我们注意细节）
约翰亲眼目睹了这一切，并相信了耶稣。
三个事实
1. 耶稣曾经活过
我们知道耶稣曾经活过，因为罗马历史学家约瑟夫斯在他写于公元93-94年左右的历史著作《犹太古史》中记载了耶稣。他在第20卷第9章中提到了“耶稣”，并将他描述为“被称为基督的耶稣”。
2. 耶稣之死

妇女们去坟墓并不是为了复活，因为她们带了香料来涂抹耶稣腐烂的身体。
坟墓前的石头很重，在马可福音 16:3，妇女们曾争论如何搬动这块沉重的石头。
在路加福音中，天使们请她们回忆耶稣在加利利对他们的应许。
起初，门徒们认为这些妇女歇斯底里，胡言乱语。“Leros”是一个重病患者讲述的谵妄故事。
耶稣说：“摩西律法、先知书和诗篇上所记的，凡指着我的话都必须应验。”
首先，基督必须受苦。耶稣已经预言了这一点，这在旧约的预言中也得到了体现。
其次，弥赛亚从死里复活。
第三，他的信息将传遍世界。这信息是给所有国家的，而传道将从耶路撒冷开始。
耶稣来是为了带来希望，关乎存在的希望。门徒们因参与上帝的计划而感到的荣幸，即使在多年后，当他们的信息遭受迫害和拒绝变得强烈时，也丝毫没有动摇。这信息在一个走向错误方向的世界中被宣扬和践行。过去和现在都是如此。
无论我们遇到感情问题、疾病缠身、经济困难、无家可归或无国籍，耶稣都是值得我们依靠的人。他经历过这一切，并且得到了那件T恤。不要相信我，要相信那位从死里复活的主，要相信他的上帝。耶稣
