Prayers 14th July 2023,

For morning Light

We humbly thank you

And offer our praise to you

Open our hearts and our minds

Give us your presence

In our life today

Loving God

Come into our lives

Send your Spirit

To work in us

Realign us

So that we may know

You in our lives

Your joy, your peace, your Shalom

We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language

Reading Psalm 37

Better is the little of the righteous
Than the abundance of many wicked.
17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken,
But the Lord sustains the righteous.
18 The Lord knows the days of the blameless,
And their inheritance will be forever.
19 They will not be ashamed in the time of evil,
And in the days of famine they will have plenty.
20 But the wicked will perish;
And the enemies of God will be like the glory of the pastures,
They vanish—like smoke they vanish away.
21 The wicked borrows and does not pay back,
But the righteous is gracious and gives.
22 For those blessed by Him will inherit the land,
But those cursed by Him will be eliminated.

We pray for all those we know who need our help and prayers who we carry in our hearts today.

For the families of refugees killed in the Mediterranean, for Ukraine and Russia, for Israel and Palestine, Sudan, Yemen, Hong Kong, China, Eritrea, Syria, our own country, for those confronting injustice, and pressing issues of climate change, for those who are distraught, for the many refugees throughout the world, for those on strike, for the homeless, our families and friends and ourselves…Spirit of the Living God present with us now enter our bodies, minds and spirits and heal us of all that harms us. Let your angels be beside us at this time. In Jesus Name we pray.

This is the day that God has made

We will rejoice and be glad in it

We will not offer to God

Offerings that cost us nothing

We will go in Peace

To love and serve the Lord

Amen
