God has called us
To celebrate Gods presence
In our lives and the world
To love and serve others
To seek justice and resist the destructive
To live the life of Christ
By the presence of Gods Spirit within us

Loving God
Come into our confused and troubled lives
Send your Spirit
To work in us
Realign us
So that we may know
You in our lives
Your joy, your peace, your Shalom
We say the Lord’s Prayer in our own language
Reading Acts 12
It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them. 2 He had James, the brother of John, put to death with the sword.3 When he saw that this met with approval among the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Festival of Unleavened Bread. 4 After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover.
We pray for all those we carry in our hearts. We pray for peace in all countries with war including Gaza and Ukraine, for elections in the US and in France, for Iran, Afghanistan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Myanmar, for those working for justice and relief of poverty, for work to halt climate change, for the 100 million people who are refugees or asylum seekers, for the homeless, the hungry, the distressed. Spirit of the Living God be beside us at this time. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen

In the depth of silence
No words are needed
We are just called to listen
To the movement of the Spirit
And in the midst of confusion
To hear your voice. Amen
